Most of us have been unfortunately impacted by cancer. My close friend Roy was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer in 2012. The diagnosis was a shock to us as he was perfectly healthy just days before. I still remember feeling numb for weeks after hearing the news. He continued to live each day to the fullest, maintaining his humour and refusing to let cancer define his last days.
My hope with fundraising alongside Quest to Conquer Cancer is to channel my grief into something positive and meaningful. I have the privilege of working at Princess Margaret Hospital as an oncology pharmacist. From supporting cutting edge therapy to helping cover medication costs for patients in need, I see the impact donations have to our patients on a daily basis. I firmly believe that every effort counts, and I am committed to doing my part to make a difference.
Support me on my Quest to Conquer Cancer as I raise funds for The Princess Margaret Cancer Center, one of the top 5 cancer research centres in the world. The centre drives ground-breaking cancer research, fuels advancements in cancer care, and shares these innovations around the world.
All proceeds raised go towards supporting more than 1,300 researchers and scientists as they continue to push boundaries and create space for new possibilities while setting global standards in cancer care.
